  • Basic anatomy

  • The spinal column / Vertebrae / discs & nerves / Facet joints / Muscles & tendons / Ligaments

  • Safe Moving & Handling

  • Dynamic risk assessment / TILEE (task, individual, load, environment, equipment) / Factors that contribute to Moving & Handling / Controversial - unsafe techniques

  • Good Base Movement

  • Principles of good base movement / Pushing & pulling / Moving & Handling technique

6 Hours ( 3 hours theory and 3 hours practical)
